Black History Month Fundraising
What is Black History Month?
February is recognized as Black History Month across Canada and the United States. It’s a time to commemorate and honor the contributions of the Black community, while also acknowledging the struggles they have faced and ultimately overcome.
At Black Boys Code and Black Kids Code (Girls), we are acutely aware of the past and present challenges endured by the people we support and serve. However, we choose to rise above and thrive, rather than be limited by adversity. Celebrating Black History Month gives all of us – members of the Black community and our allies – the opportunity to recognize the beauty and resilience found within Black people across the diaspora.
We are proud to be an organization that focuses on equipping Black youth with the resources to build better societies for themselves, their communities and the world. Join us in our mission of helping create a better future for Black youth in February and beyond by donating to the #FutureLeadersFund.
This is an exciting time to give back! We’ve launched our inaugural #FutureLeadersFund campaign in honor of Black History Month! Now through March 1, your donations will go toward building capacity for our programmatic efforts. Consider giving a gift today!
There are many ways to give back, including by donating your time.
