    Clarence "Skip" Ellis, was the first African Ameri Clarence "Skip" Ellis, was the first African American to earn a Ph.D. in computer science. He had a distinguished career as a computer science researcher, collaborating with leading technology firms and teaching at the University of Boulder, Stanford, and MIT. 

His work took him to influential positions at Bell Labs, IBM, and Xerox, leaving a lasting impact on the field. Skip Ellis's journey is a testament to determination and inspiration for aspiring computer scientists.

We will be holding an Exposure to Python curriculum for the next few months offered both virtually and in-person depending on the city. Check out the link in bio for city-specific information.

For September this course will be held in two parts for our virtual attendees and in one part for anyone attending in-person.

There's a real diversity gap in STEM fields. Our workshops expose young Black boys to Black male industry role modelsโ€”living proof that success can be the norm rather than the exception. We show them that success in the computer and technology fields is a real and attainable option.
