About this workshop

After months of designing, coding, testing, and problem-solving, our Black Boys Code are proud to present the Robotics Expo: Compete & Celebrate, the exciting grand finale of our 2026 Technology Workshop Season.

Join us on Saturday, July 25 as students come together to celebrate a year of learning, innovation, and achievement. This showcase highlights the incredible skills our young engineers and programmers have developed through hands-on learning in robotics, coding, computational thinking, and engineering design.

This isn’t just another robotics event, it’s a celebration of creativity, teamwork, perseverance, and the remarkable growth of our students throughout the year.

Awards & Recognition

Outstanding teams and participants will be recognized for excellence in:

  • Robotics Performance
  • Innovation & Creativity
  • Engineering Design
  • Teamwork
  • Problem Solving
  • Outstanding Achievement

Prizes and special recognition will be awarded throughout the event.

Students will put their creations to the test in a series of exciting robotics challenges and demonstrations using LEGO® SPIKE™ Prime technology.

Throughout the event, you’ll experience:

  • Live robotics competitions
  • Student robot demonstrations
  • Engineering design presentations
  • Problem-solving challenges
  • Teamwork and innovation in action
  • Celebration of student achievements

Every robot tells a story of perseverance, creativity, and learning.

The Robotics Expo is where classroom learning becomes real-world achievement.

Students gain valuable experience by:

  • Demonstrating their robotics and programming skills
  • Applying computational thinking to solve real-world challenges
  • Building confidence through friendly competition
  • Strengthening teamwork and communication
  • Celebrating a year of dedication and growth

This event showcases not only what students have built, but who they are becoming as future innovators, engineers, and technology leaders.
